Inspired by a taxidermy gift from a friend who asked me to liberate the remains from its harsh connection to human culture. The alligator smiles broad resting atop an antique wooden mold from a steel mill. I love that his teeth line up with the repeated sharp vertical thrusts of deer vertebra I found in the pine barrens.
